Can I still participate in break out sessions if I am not on a GHC committee?2023-11-09T10:16:44+10:00

Yes!  We encourage all attendees to select a topic they are most interested in and be part of the conversation and planning!  We are looking to gain a greater understanding of the general public’s understanding of each topic and where they see the coalition should focus their efforts.

Who is the summit for?2023-11-09T10:18:32+10:00

The Guam Homeless Coalition Housing & Homelessness Summit is for anyone who is concerned about the state of housing on Guam, the increasing hardships that lead to homelessness, and want to be part of the change to end homelessness in Guam.

What do I need to bring?2023-11-09T10:18:04+10:00

We are asking our attendees to come with an open mind and the willingness to participate.  We will also be providing a light breakfast, lunch, water and tea, but if you would like to bring additional snacks you are welcome to. We will have some disposable cups available but we are asking attendees to help us reduce waste and bring their own refillable water bottles.

Will there be food provided?2023-11-09T10:17:43+10:00

Yes, we will provide light items for breakfast and a lunch plate.  You are welcome to bring other snacks, but all food must be eaten outside of the lecture hall.  Water and tea will be provided.  Please bring your reusable bottles to refill throughout the day.

What will happen during break out sessions?2023-11-09T10:17:20+10:00

The breakout session topics will be broken out by different GHC committees:

  • Housing
  • Data
  • Training
  • Fundraising
  • Communications

During sessions, committee chairs will lead participants through an evaluation of the committees strengths and weaknesses, review items from the 2022 strategic framework that are related to the committee’s focus, and establish goals and objectives for 2024.
