Important Update: FY 2026 CoC NOFO – Court Order Vacates FY2026 CoC NOFO

On August 7, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island issued an order vacating HUD’s FY2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition.

As a result, the FY 2026 CoC NOFO and the previously announced August 26, 2026 application submission deadline are no longer in effect. HUD is currently unable to accept applications and is evaluating the court’s order and its legal options.

GHURA’s Current Process
While awaiting further guidance from HUD, GHURA will continue moving forward with the current applicants and our internal review and ranking process.

Our Review and Ranking Committee will continue its work, with the goal of having the priority list ready by Friday, August 14, 2026.

This internal process will allow GHURA to remain prepared to move forward once HUD provides additional guidance. Applicants should continue to follow GHURA’s current instructions while
awaiting further direction regarding the CoC application process.
